Miami Gets a Huge Party and Patients Get a New Faja

That wasn’t an earthquake you felt last night in South Beach — that was the roof blowing off the Temple House during Dr. William’s launch party for his Ogee Faja. With 150 people in the crowd, a mix of influencers, patients, massage therapists and other gorgeous and talented people, local plastic surgeon Dr. William showed off his Ogee Faja.

The only thing missing was an entrance by Kim K and Pete Davidson. But that didn’t stop the party as Telemundo’s Catalina Mora made her own stunning entrance — looking like she got her hands on one of the new Fajas before the show — she directed the show. It was a show indeed with a surprise appearance by comedian Rich Aronovitch, an amazing performance by Miami singer Roxy Nodarse and a troupe of shufflers who made me think I was at Coachella.

Wanting to find the true source and inspiration behind the Ogee Faja, I sat down with the creator of the faja, Dr. William. The idea for Dr. William’s faja began two years ago with a mash-up between the plastic surgeon and a Colombian manufacturer: Shaper Lynn. “My main inspiration for the Faja is similar to the reasoning for any invention; I thought I could do better.

Plastic surgery has changed a lot in 20 years, but the faja has not. It was time for a thoughtful renovation. I needed a faja to continue what I started in the operating room, but I just couldn’t find one so I decided to create my own” said Dr. William. “The Ogee Faja is designed to support the Ogee shape with less compression in places where I transfer fat to the hips, legs and buttocks, but more compression in the areas where I perform liposuction” explained an enthusiastic Dr. William.

But back to the show. Weaving my way through the party, with my Ogee cocktail in hand, I dodged gorgeous influencers, brigades of selfie-takers, and in general, an excited crowd buzzing with anticipation yet enjoying the experience at the same time. Equipped with a 360 camera platform and infinity mirror, the Temple House was lit up with reflections of the party-goers themselves much like stepping into the rabbit hole in Alice and Wonderland.

Fortunately, for those not in attendance, The Ogee Faja is available on May 16 through Amazon and on their website at www.ogeerecovery.com
